PROTOTYPE Renewable Energy Wave Pumps WAP, WGD, WWP General Prospective renewable energy developers are requesting information related to prototype manufacture and testing. Our response is: · The REWP systems are based on simple and proven engineering principles. · Prototypes should be manufactured as a full scale model and tested at sea under actual conditions. · Manufacturing a small prototype for testing in a test tank does not provide the true performance of the REWP systems. · All equipment and appurtenances are available on the market. · Details of this proposal are at website: www.renewableenergypumps.com . · The supporting structure can be permanently used for the full scale project, by increasing the structure width by 6 meters in the North/South direction and by 3 meters in the East/West direction to become a construction structural for ten (10) sets, that is forty (40) units as shown by the drawings. · The prototype shows sets of three (3) pumps or generators in line with the incoming wave. However; the output is very close to sets of seven (7) pumps or generators.
1. Two sets of pumps each consisting of three (3) WAP are installed in line with the incoming wave, total six.(6) pumps. 2. Two sets of generators each consisting of three (3) WGD-G are installed in line with the incoming wave, total six.(6) generators. 3. Two sets of Water Pumps each consisting of three (3) WGD-P are installed in line with the incoming wave, total six.(6) generators. 4. Two sets of pumps each consisting of three (3) WWP are installed in line with the incoming wave, total six.(6) pumps. 5. The pulley system is provided to allow for piston movement in the pump a distance of only two (2) meters for a wave height of eight (8) meters. At the same time increasing the internal diameter of the WWP from 22 cm to 44 cm to keep in line with the performance calculations. 6. The pulley system can be installed in the Vertical or Horizontal positions and fixed to the ceiling of the structure or installed under the structure deck. 7. The float for the WGD and WWP pumps is a hollow cylinder with an outside diameter of 150 centimeters and a height of 150 cm. A float measuring 220 cm O.D. and a height of 71 cm may be substituted to allow for energy extraction from waves as low as 75 cm high. Restrictions 1. Manufacturing and testing by prospective developers of the REWP prototype is subject to written permission and approval of drawings and to providing detailed reporting related to project and data collected. 2. Disclosure of detailed project information and location, detailed information as to developer and to Client for whom the prototype is being manufactured and tested. Controls The following controls are required: 1. Digital water flow meters to measure the quantity of water pumped by the first WGD pump; the fourth pump and the total for four WGD pumps, with a digital pressure gauge at the main WGD pump discharge header. 2. Digital compressed air flow meters to measure the quantity of compressed air pumped by the first WAP pump; the fourth pump and the total for four WAP pumps, with a digital pressure gauge at the main WAP discharge header 3. The above data measures the quantity of energy extracted from the water wave. Turbines may be added to generate and measure the generated electric power. These turbines are not necessary, if the budget does not cover this investment. 4. Digital ammeters to measure the quantity of electric power generated by the first and the fourth WGD generator; and the total for four WGD Generators, with one voltmeter meter and frequency meter to measure the generated electric power. 5. A digital system to measure the sea state; that is wave heights and durations for a period covering the whole range of wave heights. 6. An electronic data processing system to acquire the above data and be able to process it against a time scale to provide true performance of the different systems.
